All women between the ages of 24.5yrs and 64yrs are eligible for a cervical smear test.
For ages 24.5yrs to 49yrs - eligible for 1 test every 3 years.
For ages 50yrs to 64yrs - eligible for 1 test every 5 years.
Reminders are sent to all patients by the TVPCA (Thames Valley Patient Services Agency) by letter.
If you have not received a letter, we are unable to book you for a smear test.
Once the test has been taken, it will be submitted to the Laboratory and you should receive your results (from TVPCA by letter) within 3 weeks of your test date.
If further examination is required, the Laboratory will automatically refer you to a consultant and they will notify you of this.
To book an appointment with one of our nurses; please submit an e-consult or call Reception on 02380 692000 (opt1).
